Help! feather losing on 5 week old?

Help! I was going out to give the chicks more water but I knoticed some feathers on the ground. Is this normal? Do my chicks have mites?

Some feather loss is normal, as long as your chicks done have big bald spots they are probably fine. You can check them for mites by looking under their wings and around their vents, but I think your birds are probably okay

At five weeks chicks will be into process of replacing first set of flight feathers. Wing feathers in particular are too large to eat so will be seen lying around.
