Ok, so this is my first time having a pregnant doe (purebred pedigree English Lop eared). This breeding was accidental we wanted to wait until she hit a year ( shes 6 months). We found the male in her cage early in the morning on April 6th 2016. She was showing signs of pregnancy. I pulpayed her (first time i did this) i felt one baby and stopped because i didn't wanna stress her out. I put her nest box in at 28 day and at 32 days she pulled hair and started to make her nest. She built and pulled hair for her nest until she was 33 days. On day 34 in the morning when i checked on her she had blood every where in her cage (photos below) but there was no blood anywhere on her besides her feet from steping on the blood in her cage. When i cleaned her cage there were no baby parts anywhere to be found. She didnt eat them because there was no blood on her ( or in nest). On day 36 she had 3 contractions though out the day but as soon as she layed down they stopped. San on day 37. She has been very sleepy and u can still see move ment in her belly. Her belly is still hard and her boobies are very pronounced. But still no babies. We moved her inside when she hit 39 days. Well she is 43 days pregnant today and still no babies i moved her back out side because i think she is stressed she isnt next to our buck i also left the nesting box in her cage. I have no idea what is going on. I called the vet and tbey said to bring her in when she starts showing signs of distress (which hasnt happened yet). She also wont let the male mount her. She bites him and runs away.

She looks to be passing blood as the stain is in a corner over droppings. Rabbit gestation is 31 days. I would think that this huge amount of blood is reason enough for a vet.

There hasnt been blood since and she is still eatting and drinking fine. The blood looks a lot worse then it really was because the plastic under her cage made the blood stay wet. She is acting normal still a little cranky. I have people tell me their rabbait has gone 43 days and had healthy baby buns. Their litlers were only 1-3 babies

Is your doe okay? Ive never had a pregnancy go that long. My first assumption was the babies were stuck and the sacks burst killing the babies and resulting in the blood. Does she smell around her vagina? Any black or greenish discharge? If so she needs the babies removed before they rot inside her. Or has she had the kits?

No oder or discharge, she seems her normal self now. No babies either so i think we are going to try to rebreed her.

I think Bunnylady is right. She probably ate the litter. If I were you, I would breed her right back. You don't want to know what I would do with her if she were mine and did the same thing again.
