Help! Flea and mite infestation

I went away for a week and came home to an overwhelming amount of fleas on the rocks, in the coop and on the ground. It also appears some of my birds have mites. I am from Canada so many of the other threads suggest methods that aren’t available here. Any ideas??? I have used DE from the start in their coop and just spread it everywhere but it doesn’t seem to do much here.

DE is nasty to breath, ugly to mine, and pretty useless outside.
Here in the USA, permethrin spray is best and inexpensive. Spinosad is useful but expensive and difficult to find.
Carbaryl is not approved for chickens in the USA, but might be okay in Canada?
Those are the products I'm familiar with that work well.
