So I was out feeding my goats some celery and one of them managed to nap the bag the celery came in and chomped it down before I could yank it away.

Any suggestions? Would vegetable oil help pass it at all? Pepto bismo? Thanks.

Ruminants can carry around an amazing variety of things in their rumens. I don't think there is anything you can do to short of surgery cause her to pass that plastic bag but I could be wrong. Either it will go on through or it won't.

I've been giving him mineral oil intermittently today and yesterday. He is eating and acting like himself and has been passing pellets like normal.

My father says he's been into things like this before before and not to worry too much but this is the first time I've seen him eat something like that so I'm understably upset.

He is a wether and about 9-10 years old.

Aside from diarrhea, vomiting, bloat, and constipation is there anything else I should be looking for? And for how long? It's been a little over 24 hours as of now.
