HELP!!gosling with broken leg

I have a week old gosling with broken leg. I risked life and limb and finally got him out. It seems to be broken right above the hock,totally seperated. What can I do? Doesn't seem shocky or very stressed right now anyway. If I strap it to his side will it heal?

I do feel for you, I have successfully healed a chicken leg that was broken, she was a friendly hen and we splinted and bandaged the leg and it healed or fused so she could walk albeit with a limp. She didin't seem distressed or obviously in pain and reacted well to our treatment, never stopped eating or laying lol. But a young gosling may be caused more distress by trying to treat an injury like this.

He doesn't seem to be doing badly. He's eating now and as long as I keep a hand on him he stays calm. Took him to the vet, they said the break was too high for them to fix. So I used vet wrap to imobilize the whole leg until my DH gets home. Then we'll see what we can do. Thanks for answering my post.
