Help - Grandpa ate moldy bread

He has this loaf of bread that's his... So no one noticed how moldy it was until today after he already ate a couple slices. It was SO bad, it went straight into the trash (my chickens aren't eating THAT!). It was black in places, green, fuzzy, white. All the colors of the moldy rainbow. Barf!

Will he be OK?

Probably he'll be fine, but couldn't hurt to keep an eye on him. Have him drink a bunch of water, maybe. best of luck!

He will probably be OK unless he has allergies to it. Trust me about that. I am allergic to mold. If I accidentally eat anything with mold it is like having a rash throughout my entire intestinal tract. However, most people aren't hurt by a little bit of it.

He got a dose of free penicillin!

No seriously, it probably won't hurt him. Possibly on the off chance an upset tummy, esp if the bread was "bad" not just molding.

Accidentally ate a moldy piece of apricot nut bread. My fault as I grabbed it out of the bread box in the dark and didn't have enough sense to turn on the kitchen light- well I didn't want to share either. Ate half before it dawned on me that the taste was off so then I turned on the light and saw all the pretty colors - none of them standard bread colors.
I had an upset stomach most of the day but I ate antiacids and drank milk which helped.

Thanks - so far he's still upright and not vomiting.

I, on the other hand, am still in the fetal position trying to hold down my stomach. That was seriously the grossest bread I have seen.
