Hopefully someone can help me as I am in a little bit of a pickle with my hatch.

Today is lockdown for my 5 eggs I'm hatching. This is the first time doing a "dry hatch" in my Brinsea, all other hatches have failed. So far everything has been great with this hatch, all 5 are still alive and moving. This morning before I went into lockdown mode I added some water to the well. So far it's been reading between 25-30% with no water in there whatsoever. I added a small amount and my hygrometer has been reading at 70%. I didn't even fill one whole side of the well.

Here is where my problem comes in...I'm afraid if I add more water I'll end up drowning these chicks. If I don't add anymore water I'm afraid that the well will dry out quickly and I will need to open and refill tomorrow and Friday. Saturday is Hatch Day. What do I do?? This is the best hatch I've had so far I really don't want to lose these chicks. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

70 is a pretty good level for hatching. Are you trying to increase the humidity more? I would not recommend doing this.

No, I am worried as to what will happen if that little bit of water dries out during lockdown by tomorrow or Friday and I have to add more. Will it be ok to open quick and add??
