Help I cracked the egg on day 15

I dropped it when candeling to show my kids the baby chick moving inside.
it got a small crack and a few drops of blood came out, but it didnt gush. so i put some tape on the crack.

Did I kill my chick?

some people have had success with dripping some candle wax on the crack

Dropping it probably broke some blood vessels in the membrane inside the shell. I hope it lives

Well I put candle wax on it, but the crack was even longer. After I put the wax on, I candled it and the little chick wasnt moving. I think it died.
I am putting my flashlight away!!
so sorry. This is my first hatch.
