Help!!!! I Don’t even know what’s wrong

I had 2 chicks hatch yesterday around 10 am both have their necks in weird angles and still can not stand as of 9 am this morning pictures below!!!!! I have no idea what to do!!!! there were 4 dozen in this batch and these are the only two that had made it. They were part of a shipped egg hatch from eBay ( black copper maran and red ranger and Easter egger mix) there were a lot of eggs broke during shipment so I know they weren’t handle too careful could that have don’t something? Also one other that half hatch was deformed with its leg attached to its stomach! I have hatched dozens of eggs before this with the same incubator ( NR360). I have absolutely no idea what to do or how to help or if I should cull them to stop them from suffering?? Please be nice in comments, I’m already crying over this!

What do I do one of them just passed and it’s only the single chick now and what causes it???

What do I do?? One of them died already and I don’t know what to do?
I mixed an egg yolk and have been feeding the other baby drops until she doesn’t seem to want any more and then giving her more when she hungry chirps again and repeat the process

A hen who is deficient in certain nutrients like vitamin E, will result in chicks with problems.

I'd supplement with Vitamin E if you have it. Share what dosage, too.

If you bought four dozen eggs and only two hatched it is a huge red flag that there is a major issue somewhere.
The somewhere is either in the stock of the eggs that you bought or in your incubator.
Fortunately there is not much you can do for either one of these chicks at this time but hope.


Did you have a calibrated thermometer and humidity gauge in the Bator?
Can you post a link to the advertisement that you bought these exact eggs from?

The somewhere is either in the stock of the eggs that you bought or in your incubator.

... or most likely embryos injured in shipping, since the OP mentions that "a lot" of the eggs were broken in shipment.

I'd demand a refund, but of course unless it's a reputable seller, good luck with that. So sorry for your pain this morning, @frasereve. If it were me, I'd cull the remaining chick. But it all depends on how much work and attention you want to give to this chick, given that it has a very poor chance of survival - and if it does recover, will it be alone?
