Help!!!! I don’t know what to do

[Newbie needs help]

Hi all,
I woke up this morning to my turkey egg pipped - looks like it started to zip. I have no idea - first time ever incubating.
Should I leave it?
Should I still see movement?
How long should this take?
Panicked newbie here.

How's it looking? As long as it can breathe it should be fine. Sometimes they can enlarge their pip hole before they are ready to hatch, but then again sometimes they get stuck as they unzip and need help. Hopefully someone with turkey experience will chime in as I'm not sure how active or noisy they are during hatch. I know chicken and quail chicks get noisy if they get stuck.

Nothing has changed There doesnt seem to be any movement and the hole is no bigger than it was 6 hours ago

I would take it out and have a closer look if no other eggs have pipped yet, but the fact that you haven't seen movement doesn't bode well. Occasionally it does happen that they pip and then die. Sorry it happened to you on your first try. The membrane looks fine in the photo from what I can see (low humidity can dry them out too quickly). Just ensure the vents on your incubator are fully open so there's a good flow of fresh air for the chicks.

Any action on your other eggs? Turkey babies are very cute so I hope you get a good number hatching out.

I took it out very quickly and there doesnt appear to be movement. It is still quite damp. I dont know if if you pull all the shell off or just leave it for a little while
Nothing with the other eggs unfortunately. Thinking I may have lost this lot. But Mumma Turkey is currently sitting on 10 other eggs so I may still have babies yet.
It is sad, but what can you do. Just have to keep trying I guess.
