I had a young Roo that got injured somehow last year..he couldn't put any weight on one of his legs at all. I never thought he would survive, let alone be able to be used as a breeder. I caged him for six weeks..it took a long time but gradually he began to get better. When I felt it was time to turn him loose, he still had a visible limp. Of course he ended up with the name "Limpy".
Now he is a big beautiful Australorp Roo..and a top breeder. No sign of any limp whatsoever. I never did figure out how he got hurt in the first place. It took months for him to fully recover...but hang in there and don't give up on him.
I've edited to add a pic of him.
