HELP!!! I have a dilema on my hands!!!

Ok.......... I currently have 8 chickens (mixed and 8 weeks old) in my coop that I first built. I went 2 weeks ago and bought 6 RIR's from TSC. I am 100% positive my current coop/run isnt big enough for all of them when it comes time to put my little ones out. I am debating on wether to try to expand the current coop run or to just completely build another and keep the 2 different sets separate and not worry aout having them all together in one coop/run. Any suggestions or ideas??? Also, keep in mind my carpentry skills are very beginner which means I would probably know how to completely build another one rather than extend what i've got but I'm willing to try!

Is it possible to build one bigger coop and run for the whole batch once they're integrated and keep this nice setup for a broodercoop or chicken hospital if you need to isolate some birds?

That's a great suggestion - we are new to chickens too and found that it is safest to have access to two setups in a pinch. Plus you will want to get more. That's just a given

But I think the easiest thing would be to make a second plywood hutch like you have there, and just connect the two. You can even make a pop door in between instead of completely removing the walls, and then if you need to isolate, you can just close the door. Extend your run to match and remove the wire mesh on that side, or just roll it up and store it in the pen already connected, so it can be closed to separate the pen into two separate runs without too much hassle.
