Look up the local 4H and call and let them know?

Flyer at the feed store?

Craigslist?

have you listed them on Craigslist?
There is also Kijiji.com, Hoobly.com, Pennysaverusa.com, Recycler.com, Petfinder.com, Homesteadingtoday.com,

Anyone else here know of other free sites she can list her birds? If we can't buy them, let's help her sell them!

Give them away on Craigslist. Forget about selling them. You can also offer the whole
flock for a small fee. $10 a silkie may be way too high for your area, especially when you
need to sell them

I say as a starting bid, $10 is too high. Don't just post in your town's CL, post in close by towns. I live in Fayetteville, but if I need something gone, or need money, you'll see my ads in wilmington, raliegh, maybe even hickory. Try posting in the FS section instead of swaps. I sell my birds 5 dollars. They go pretty darn fast. No, you don't always make a profit, but you don't spend more and more feed on them

Have you listed them on BYC Buy Sell Trade ? look at the BYC index and try there... good luck and I hope things improve for you and your family.

You may have to give them away in order to offset the potential feed costs. If you really need them to go to a new home please consider that to many people chickens are a dime a dozen and they won't pay but a couple dollars at most for a bird.

Wish you were closer, I'd buy some. I know other people who would like some too. $10 is usually the cheapest you'll find around here. But your area may be different.

Have you tried selling them to a feed store? 4H is a good idea too.

Sandra, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. I've given away birds or sold them really, really cheap just to get them out of here to lower my feed bills from time to time. The longer you keep them, the more $$ in feed you have to pay, so even giving them away will help you.
