After losing on of my girls, a neighbor gave me 2 pullets from his farm (he said they should be laying in fall). We introduced the two to my existing birds of the same breed. After introducing them we separated them in the same coop so they could all see each other and become familiar. After about 3 weeks I started letting the young girls out with the older girls. The big girls are pecking at them (with I know is normal) so they younger ones get on top of the roof of their coop and just hide out. At first I was putting water and food up there, but now I'm not so hopefully they will venture on down. I am worried that they are not. I'm starting to get frustrated because I just want them to be friends! Any advice??

Yes. Give them time. It will take a few weeks before the dust settles, so to speak. These girls have moved to a different home and have different neighbors. It takes a while for everyone to settle down.
