Help, I my hen is sick...

my hen for the past four days has been acting strange..

she will not eat or drink unless I put it in her mouth ( then she eats like a pig)

she looks bloated

she has diharria (that might be from the liquid meds i have been giving her)

she cannot walk

she is cleared eye and has color, still

the meds might be helping but i just started giving it to her yesterday, to soon to tell i guess. I'll keep you posted

I'm sorry...you are giving her meds because??????????? Have you checked her crop? Is it pliable? Please read the stickies at the top of the Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures to see if anything there will help you? Keep us posted.

She sounds very sick. Avian vet today, if possible.

if she eats when you give it to her..it's a good sign..

but we need more detailed symptoms description..

check the crop..feel for any lumps or grainy feeling..best to check in the morning before she eats...it should be empty.
is she thin?

describe the droppings before the meds...color and consistency.

have you given her water?
how did you give it?

is she sitting on a nest?
could she possibly just be broody?

what all do you feed your chickens?
when did she last lay an egg?

what meds are you giving, and for what?

have you picked her up..is she able to stand?
