Ok..... so.... a few weeks ago I let my hen hatch out some guinea and chicken eggs. All was well till a hawk came... we lost all but two quineas. Then my husband ended up buying some baby quineas and they are about a week possibly two in age difference. I put them outside during the day because it's nice out and I want them to get grass and bugs. They started to outgrow their cage there are tan of them so I had a bigger cage tat I didn't think they could get out of. Yesterday I put them in and they stayed however this morning they were gone!!!! Talk about panic!!! I found them with the momma hen and her two guineas. Then halter today I couldn't find them and was so worried the wondered off. But they are back and I am breathing. They ended up going back in the cage to get water and I was able to close the door. But then the momma hen was so upset and so were the guineas so I let them back out. I think she really thinks they are hers. My husband is worried they will be to wild if we don't pint them up for a while and he is worried they will wonder off ( all our birds are free range) but I don't wanna take them away from the momma I think she will keep them in our yard. Thoughts??? Do I catch them again and pin them or do I let them free range with the momma chicken?

If the hen wants them, I would let her have them. They will still end up thinking that where they are is home and that the hen is their mother.
