YIKES! What a day. This morning i come out to see 3 baby rabbits in my rabbit pen. I cannot keep/have baby rabbits could it be my brown female supposedly desexed bunny is really a Male rabbit. I’m scratching my head they promised me it was a girl and my other bunny is the mother min certain of it. Please help

Either she was bred before you got her or the other bunny is a buck.

EDT: How old is this rabbit? Buns are fairly easy to sex, but if you don't feel comfortable groping his genitals and he's more than six months old, he should have visible testicle growth.

Not my pic.

Being transgender is a human thing. Animals don't have genders, and as such, can't feel that their gender doesn't match their sex. If you have a rabbit that you thought was female that's actually male, that's just a misidentification.

Which rabbit is nursing the babies? Either that one was bred before you got her, or the other rabbit is male. How long ago did you get the one that was pregnant?

Check them both. If one of them is male, one of them has testicles.

She was probably bred before you got her. You got her around early-mid February right? The gestation period for lops is usually around 30 days.

I would like to clarify something. Livestock are not transgender. They are either male, female, or intersex. Intersexes are a little of both sexes and they are not fertile. I have seen this in polled goats. You will also occasionally read about a deer with antlers that turns out to be female.

Oh don’t worry I know I was Justin wondering if it was male or female that’s all
