I have a pair of Snowflake Bob whites bought as a proven breeding pair....but the male does not mate the female..also the female is laying like crazy(sometimes 2 eggs a day) How do I get the male to mate her, or is he a lost cause? He just wants to sit on the eggs and make noise lol

I thought only the boys had dark heads? I had bought them as a proven breeder pair but yeah....obviously that is not the case. I have also collected 18 eggs over the last 14 days so idk. My courtnix quail only lay one a day :/

Could be alot of factors involved. More space may be needed, what % of protein feed are you feeding? Habitat enrichment factors and or he's not interested but most likely it's not breeding season.
Bobwhites are seasonal breeders, meaning they only become interested in breeding in the spring time.
