Now that I posted this I think I identified the chipmunk looking one. Is it an Easter egger? I've heard mixed opinions about them. Anybody wish to share theirs? Is there a easy was to visibly sex these types chicks? ....if that's what he/she is, of course!

Here are my guesses :)

1- red sex link pullet
2- I guess I don't know
3- can't see ear color, it's either a white rock or white leghorn
4- not sure
5- does it have green legs? If so than it's most likely an EE

:)

Oh and to answer your question I have had and still have EE and I love mine. I've heard they can be a little skittish, but all mine have been very friendly. They lay beautiful eggs too!

Thank you for the info on the EE and the other breeds. The second one is a hen I got with the other red and white girls. They all came from the same place apparently. She lays eggs every day and is quite vocal while doing so. The darker birds seem more friendly, the white ones more flighty. I did get the little black chick with the striped EE one so perhaps that one is an EE as well??

Usually EE all have a look like the last chick, they usually aren't solid color. I'm hoping someone else will chime in and help you out

Edited because auto correct doesn't know what I want to say

Thank you. My husband surprised me with these babies because I lost my favorite chicken about a week ago and I've been really bothered by it. I didn't think I could have cared about a chicken so much but she was really cute and friendly. She actually got inside after the dog pried the back door open and laid an egg in the living room while we were sleeping! Anyhow, I digress. I really know nothing about the EE breed yet. I'm still learning. I also got a new blue copper Maran hen so between her and the EE I should have some diversely colored eggs! So unexpected but fun!!

What color eggs do you get from those hens? I love the graduated coloring....red with a little white, half and half, and all white...they're very pretty! I'm thinking the first is a red sex link, the second could be either a Leghorn based hybrid or simply a mixed breed hen (maybe even a second generation sex link) and the last bird, not sure if she's a Leghorn or not. White eggs would mean Leghorn, brown would be maybe a Rock or another mixed breed.

Depending on where your chicks came from, it's likely they're mixed breed birds. If they came from a hatchery, I'd say either an Australorp or black sex link, and possibly an Easter egger...what color legs does the chipmunk have? Does it have little puffy cheeks? This is a common chick pattern for a few different breeds and/or crosses, so you're not going to know more until it gets big bird feathers.

They all lay varying shades of brown eggs. One girl lays a creamy beige egg but nobody lays a white egg.
I got the two chicks from a local farm/feed store. They had a brooder full of these tiny babies labeled assorted bantams. The chipmunk baby looks like it may have some extra fluff by its ears but nothing too noticeable. The legs on "chip" are light yellow, the tiny black bantam has a grayish black color only on the front of its legs. The black one looks like my female barred rock chicks a but but his wings are totally black, and he has a small white/yellow smudge on his head and a fluffy yellow/white butt.

Completely spaced the fact the chicks are bantams, sorry. In that case, I withdraw my earlier suggestions and have no blessed idea. I know some basic bantam breeds, but they're not my thing so much.
