Help identifying my mom's chickens?

Hello everyone!

About two months ago my mom "rescued" some beautiful chickens at a farm equipment auction...a lovely pair of a hen and rooster who have already successfully laid and hatched 11 chicks! They are great at taking care of the chicks and I'm just trying to positively identify their breed at this point, so any help would be most appreciated...thanks in advance!

They have feathered feet and black/gold coloring...and both the hen and rooster are quite quiet and docile, and very nuturing toward their chicks.

I really dont know, but either way about it.. They are BEAUTIFUL and I would love to have them... Your momma's got some money on her hands there and she probably doesnt even know it.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply!

These two (and their chicks) do seem to match the photos of the golden laced cochins that I've just looked up. They are really beautiful birds (both in appearance and in temperament) and my mom is extremely fond of them. I'm trying to help her research them more so she can really take care of them to her best ability, but so far they seem really happy with their new home and the hen has been an excellent mother to her chicks.
