I am in Utah, and this vine is everywhere around my house. Google gives me very... diverse answers 😄 and none seem to be quite right. It is green, grows little purplish small berries in late summer, then the leaves turn a lovely red and fall before winter. I am looking to give my girls more space and shade. Do you know what this plant is, and is it safe by a chicken tunnel/run. It is all over my yard and outbuildings so would be hard to avoid. Thanks!

Up north here we just call it Virginia vine

Probably Virginia Creeper. It can be pretty aggressive, so be careful letting it spread too much.
Oh I know! My home is very old and it is all along our fence line, long before we bought it. We try to keep it cut back, but like you said it's very aggressive. I want to be very proactive keeping it away from the run, but I'm planning a little tunnel system to give them access to more areas that it might pop up in.
