Help identifying which strain of coturnix?

Good morning! I have one coturnix chick that is a very blonde / gold color. All the others are your standard brownish reddish color. It also is the biggest by far. I’d say a 1/3 of the others size bigger. The chicks are 7 days old today. Amazing how fast they are growing. Thanks!

It's hard to say without knowing what colours the parents are. It looks like a fee of some sort, but other than that, you will know more in a couple weeks.

I’m assuming the parents were the standard brownish reddish color. The people I got them from said this was the only yellow one out of the entire bunch that hatched.

Then it could turn out to be just about any fee colour. I don't see any brown or red, so it's going to be black and white something.

I'm suspecting falb fee, which is pharaoh, but in shades of black, white, and grey rather than browns.

Interesting. Is there anyone reason that 1 out of 9 that hatched were this color? Or is that just luck of the draw?

The fee is not dominant, so it's possible that it was just hiding in the parents.
