I just moved my four girls outside yesterday. They are 8 weeks old. It's been raining all day today, and their pre-fabricated coop is leaking. What should I do/put inside the coop to help them stay warm?

Bringing them back in isn't an option, at least not tonight. It's 11:00pm here and raining, and I'm just getting home from a 10 hour work day. The box that they were in in the house got put in the trash last night. I can definitly get them back in tomorrow. I don't even think we own a tarp. Trash bags should work temporarily, and there are pine shavings inside the coop, but they are damp. What about newspaper?

They are tougher than you think. My 6 week old chicks spent all day yesterday running around in the rain and 50 degree temps with the rest of the flock. I bet they will be just fine.
