I wasn't sure what section to post this in so I'll just put it here. Okay so I have a predicament and I would the the good people of BYC to weigh in with their opinions and help me decide what I want to do. So here goes, I had been planning on getting chickens for awhile but finally made the plunge into doing so when someone was looking to rehome a young Russian Orloff cockrel. I saw his picture, fell in love and got some chicks that had been sexed as pullets by Mcmurray from a woman who bought a large mixed batch and decided to sell some of them. I bought 5 chicks and (because my luck sucks) the Delaware ended up being a roo (at least I'm about 90% sure it's a roo after speaking with speckledhen on byc). The lady I got them from was willing to trade him back, that is until something broke into her coop and massacred the remaining pullets that she had. So now I'm stuck with a decision... Either keep the Delaware roo and tell my friend she will have to find another home for the RO or try to find a new home for the Dely and go ahead with my plan to take the RO. So I'm looking for a little input and trying to weigh the pros and cons. There is one bad thing about the RO, he has a very, very mildly crooked beak. I am worried that if he ended up having babies (my father may want to borrow my roo at some point to mate with his hens) they would also have crooked beaks. I am also a bit concerned about the possible adult weight of both boys since one of my hens is an Egyptian Fayoumi and both of these boys will probably be pretty hefty. The RO should be a bit smaller/lighter than the Dely so there's a benefit there. Both boys have been handled a lot and the RO more so than the Dely since I didn't get the Dely until he was already 3 weeks old and my friend with the RO got him at a few days old and handled him a lot. The RO has already shown that he is smart about protecting his flock by letting out a death scream when he saw hawks over head and leading the girls he's with now to cover. The Dely, so far, seems a bit slow in the head lol. He cried last night when I put them to bed because he couldn't figure out How to jump up on the perch with the girls. They are both handsome birds and I am having a neck of a time deciding what I should do. So any help/input is appreciated.

Some Pics of the boys...

Here you can see his slight scissor beak. It's hasn't gotten any worse if anything it's improved slightly.
