I have 9 eggs in my homemade incubator and due to some malfunctioning the temperature reached 44 Celsius in the incubator for an hour or so. Will the it be fine or there will be no development as the temp was fluctuating a lot since the last three days. One egg was on its third day , 2 were on their second and 6 were kept today only.
Please give me some hope

If it had gone the other way, and cooled down, there'd be less of an issue but that's a hell of a rise in temperature! The only way you will know is to candle them in about five days (then you can do them all at once) and see what's going on in there. It will depend on how high their core temperature went.

To be brutally honest, fluctuating temperatures, a huge heat spike and staggered addition does not bode well for them hon but nature is an amazing thing so never say never.

If it turns into worse case scenario, as is quite likely, and you have lost them and you decide to try again, you really need to give yourself and your eggs a better fighting chance by adding them all at the same time. I wish you the very best of luck xxx

That is quite a high spike. If it was for just an hour you MIGHT get away with it depending on what temperature the embryo reached. As happyhens said you’ll only really know when you candle them in a few days time. I wish you best of luck.

Thanks for the support. This my one and only chance to hatch eggs. Will candle them after a few days. Just pray for them guys.

Good news. I just candled the egg today and saw that every egg was developing . So happy!!
