The incubator fell off the shelf when I tripped over the guinea pig cages that I was cleaning. Anyways, the eggs are supposed to hatch today!! One is cracked, not leaking. Another has really bad detached air cell! A few others have waked air cells. What do I do?

I just noticed I had 5/6 developing eggs in the bator. I went back to where the bator was and found the egg!!! It's really cracked, but no leakage. On day 21. Help!

I don't think nail polish will help.

did you put them back in the incubator it looks bad so chances of the hatch is very low at this point.
all I can suggest is to place them back in for hatching and see what comes off just keep an eye on them you may have to help with the hatch but with the shell being broke the shrink wrapping could become a problem.
I wish you good luck and let us know how things turn out.

Yes I did.

This just keeps fasting worse. The one with the bad air cell has a hole, you can see the chicks beak! Eek! I don't want it to drown in fluid. I put it on the bator and it hope it doesn't drown. Wow, am not good at this hatching thing :hit.

Thanks for helping

Not just the chicks beak, the whole chick itself.
how are you doing? so stressful

. It is so close to hatch I do not see why the badly cracked one would not hatch on it's own unless it bleeds due to the inner membrane being disturbed.

Maybe you could try to make a small hole in the shell to help the one with the bad air cell?

The badly cracked one is still moving. That's good. The one with the bad air cell, I made a small hole, you can see the little chick inside. She is breathing but still has veins in shell.

Thank you Candy442!

In other news, I heard a peep in the bator earlier! :jumpy

YAY...the only other suggestion would be to place a moist paper towel over the badly cracked egg part to keep the inner membrane moist. Please send updates when you can, I would love to hear how it turned out!

Awesome thanks Candy! I plan on giving them to my broody when they hatch. So EGGcited! Will keep everyone posted! :jumpy

A light brown egg with no cracks I can see is peeping! Hopefully we get a pip soon! :fl

One little guy hatched so far. 2 eggs have died, so 3 are left.

In one of the eggs that died, (the one that was really cracked) there was this honey like stuff in the shell, is this normal?
