help knowing what warmer to use

Hello does anyone have experience with chicken water heaters, trying to figure out which one to use, have looked at bowls but worry about them drowning or getting a leg wet then it freezing, also worry about the submersible because of possibility of it shorting out but am open to any ideas

If a submersible could short out, it wouldn't be allowed to be sold.
If using for just hens, I like a bird bath heater.
