Help Making an Egg Laying Spreadsheet

I have very basic spreadsheet skills, would like some help, or if somebody already has something setup like this?


For the last 9 months we have been tracking total brown eggs, and total green eggs. Sometimes we skip a day.

This is what we would like to have on the spreadsheet
Day
Total Brown
Total Green
Total Brown and Green
Number of Laying Hens


With this info, we want to be able to see a chart that shows averages per week or month. Average count per week day; ie, Mondays have the highest average.

The information would change as we loose hens to predators/death or our hens start laying.


Does anybody already have something like this?

I use a spreadsheet(s) that I cobbled together myself that tracks feed costs, daily eggs laid, eggs sales and also record a bunch of notes on other aspects of chicken keeping in the file. Some worksheets are linked, many are not.

I say cobbled because I'm no excel expert myself, but not sure you can generate a 'chart' from a spreadsheet.

I'l get you started:
Advanced Search>Titles Only>spread sheet
Click that link, there's a couple of threads about record keeping.
Try some other search terms, like 'records'.....
...someone out there put up a rather involved spreadsheet that they shared freely,
it was too complicated and did not contain what I wanted to track, so I made my own.

Yes, I guess so. I have it on Google Sheets right now where I have some test info entered. I guess am getting closer to where I want it to be. Im going through all the posts that mention spreadsheet trying to.
