Hi, I would welcome any thoughts

I just updated this: the chick's crop seems full of air. should I "pop" it to relieve pressure? I have sterile syringe...

Chick was delivered to my friend on 5/18. I noticed on Saturday this one had pasty plugged butt, was smaller than the rest, not moving as much.
I soaked and cleaned butt, she was finally able to relive herself!
My friend kept an eye on her and cleaned her off again a few times.
This morning she said the chick was about to die. Chick was on back, eyes closed, cool to the touch, twitching a little.
I syringed molasses, yogurt and water and chick was revived.
She is my chick now! I was able to get a VERY tiny amount of egg, chick starter, yogurt, poly vi-sol, water by syringe.
She will only take liquids.
I also gave condensed milk: is that OK?
Bedding is paper towel over straw, I have 120V bulb close on them.

I have massaged her crop but it seems to get really full and bloated? Is it possible for her air sac to be too full?

Also, she is doing the head twisting thing, thought I had read about that. poor thing is just a mess!

Any thoughts?

My friends daughter named her Foxy!

p.s. she was the fancy breed free-bie from McMurray and I have no idea what breed! Yellow with black and white striped back and wings.....

Ok, she definitely has a big bubble in an air sac right above her crop.
Is that a problem? what is remedy?
The size of her crop/ air bubble is making her "spit up" some of the milk and stuff I gave her.

I just edited all of this like a hundred times so I hope it still makes sense!

Thank you!

I have given poly vi-sol but will try the baby bird food, she still only likes liquids, won't eat the scrambled egg.
her droppings are reddish brown, (from the molasses?), pretty loose but with slight solids in them. I'm glad she is pooping!

But she is still alive! Very weak, I think just needs real nourishment.
If the air sac gets much bigger I will do as that link suggested.

when mine did this I mixed a small amount of water, vinegar, and olive oil and syringed it into her mouth. Them massaged alot! I found that most of the air was in the crop, I guess due to the food being sore in there. It took me 2 days of this every hour or so before her crop cleared. Good luck!

really important to determine if the crop is impacted before you stick it..
and the sooner the better..chicks can't go long without nutrition.
