today i went out to check on some of my chicks and noticed one was limping and when i finally grabbed her i noticed it looked like the skin on her thigh was like ripped or pulled off you can very clearly see red flesh and some skin kinda bunched up at the start of her scales ive asked people in my family if they knew what happened and no one does tho most of us think she may have done it herself trying to get out of an old metal cage we had the chicks in for the night ive moved all chicks into the house till they are big enough to fit into a bigger cage we have. ive been giving her very tiny bits of painkillers diluted w water to help w pain from it but i need to know if theres anything else i can do to help her she is moving okay for now but its like its hard for her to move that leg im not sure if its just bc it hurts sm or if something even worse is wrong with it

Try disinfecting it once with peroxide. How has the chick been acting otherwise?
shes been acting normal besides the limping shes also been kinda leaning off of the hurt leg but that makes sense im jus worried bc ive never had to deal w this type of thing before and her leg looks pretty bad ill try to get a good photo of it and post once i get the chance

Keeping it disinfected and clean is gonna be one of the best thing you can do for it. You may just have to let it heal on its own. Unless it has hurt itself deeper than just the skin, it's unlikely that it's anything life threatening.

Which painkillers?
Can you get pictures?
Treat with a wound cleaner and apply neosporin.
i dont remember exactly which one i gave her but im pretty sure it was a very low dose of aspirin since i read that its safe for chickens. as for pictures im trying to get some rn
