I recently got an order of chicks from someone local. They take back any males if they sexed wrong. One of the babies is already getting wattles and comb at just 2 weeks so I'm thinking it may be a boy. I feel replacing him will be easier now rather than getting a one chick later. She also has 9 month old giant cochins and wants $30 each for them. So, should I get 1 new chick and put her with my current chicks or get 2 new cochins??

Pictures of the bird in question? :0
Of the baby? I will go get one. Honesty, I'm not 100% sure it's a boy but I'm leaning towards male and am worried it wi be harder adding 1 when they're older instead of now when they're young. Heres the giant cochins she has. She says they're 9 months.

Heres the baby. Again, not positive just leaning that way. Still pretty young.

Ok, best I can do. Maybe I'm going crazy because on camera they dont look so noticable. The others have no sign of wattles at all though and this ones comb has grown so much in the past week.

I would be suspicious too, but might take another couple weeks to know for sure.

So do you think I should go ahead with the trade? My main worry us if I wait a few more weeks and it does turn out to be a cockerel, the seller will only have week old chicks so then I'll have to try and integrate a baby with older chicks. If I trade how she has 2.5 week old chicks that I can ut with these ones. Or I could get 2 cochins and try to integrate them with my older girls.

They'll take one maybe male chicks and give you two 9mo birds in exchange?
It would be easier to integrate 2.5wo chicks.
How many chicks do you have?
