You know how you get that one song in your head, and it won't go away?!? I've heard one way to get rid of it is to listen to it over and over, until your mind is satisfied it's had enough. I've tried that for two days. Still going strong. Another way is to replace it with a different earworm.
I spent most of a day reading up on Elvis Presley's life and music, and watching countless videos. One stuck in my head, and of course, I had to go in search of the original artist and all the remakes it's been through over the years. "Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret, and first sung by Todd Duncan as a soundtrack for the movie "Unchained." The most notable recording was done by The Righteous Brothers in 1965, and it was this recording featured in the movie "Ghost" in 1990. It is perhaps the most beautiful and haunting love song I've ever heard:
Unchained Melody:
So help me out here, friends. What's another earworm I can try to replace this one? What's the best/worst earworm you've ever had? Do you have one now?
(And NO "This is the song that never ends" - oh, hell no!)
