Okay
first I'm having a blast and enjoying taking great care of my kids. I had NO idea I would enjoy raising chicks SO Much!
I figured it would be EASY when the time came to find homes for extras! NOT SO
and here is the problem!
I figure at most I can keep 5 of this group! I already have 3 others plus I have already decided 2 of my chicks I'm keeping for sure (based on personality a BSL and an EE)
but I have NO idea how to decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the chicks I have to choose from!
Partidge Rock
BLRW
Speckled Sussex
Australop
Barred Holland
Danish Leghorn
La Fleche
Russian Orloff
Delaware

qualities I care about?
good egg laying, good personality, interesting to look at, varied flock and varied egg colors.
So far my SS is a bit reserved
the chicks in italics are not even 3 weeks old so still trying to figure out their personality the top 4 are 7 weeks old.

HELP!

I would keep a Delaware, BLRW, and a Speckled sussex they are all fairly good egg layers and great to look at toghether with the two breed you have already chosen.

Good Luck with you new flock,
Henry

For sure, keep the delaware.

Australorps, are gorgeous when they grow up with the beatiful green, purple sheen, and they are egg laying machines.
