A good look at the wing feathering...

It might be hard to tell their coloring since the brooder light is red, but they are yellow and black with white and black feathers coming in on their wings. They are the two smallest ones I have. Teri from Ideal Hatchery thinks mine could be Silver Lakenvelders, which are smallish chickens. Hope this helps!

Yes, it did look similar. As a small chick it was white/buff and black/gray. It looked just like the picture in MM catalog of the mottled houdan that I had ordered. I lost so many in shipment ( very cold weather) that didn't know what was alive and what was dead and then the second shipment of replacements. That really confused me. I didn't know what to tell them I had lost so they sent another assortment of what I had ordered and one of the things ordered was the rainbow layer assortment, thus confusion. I know it isn't the houdan because of the 5th toe and top but just confused as to what it might be.
