I was given 13 duck eggs to hatch. Was not told what kind of duck. 7 of the 13 hatched. Can anyone identify the breed of them?

That's the standard wild type coloring. Either Mallards or Rouens is my best guess. Were the eggs large or small? Rouens are much larger than Mallards.

Oh, two of them look deformed! lol

This is a picture of 6 of the ducks taken a few days later. As you might have noticed, there was a Show Girl in the box with the ducks. They were just to vigorous for her/him.

I just looked up the Rouen duck. Good looking bird. My husband was hoping for a Woods duck but I didn't think so. I have a 5 mnth old female Mallard. She looked different than these, but then I also don't think she's full blooded Mallard.

Well, looked up Mallard females w/chicks. I see why you said it could be either one! My 6 mo old female duck is definately not a full blooded Mallard.

I didn't even think of the possibility of Wood ducks, I'm not familiar with them! Those are rather different looking ducklings, so my guess may be out the window.

Definitely not Mallard babies.

I guess you'll have to see how they grow and post more pictures.
