Thank you Illia. I was wondering what would happen if they were crossed with my others? I understand Easter Eggers are mutts, but I wanted to still be able to have interesting colored eggs, not just brown. Everyone else lays brown or off white.
I was curious what would happen when crossed with the speckled sussex especially, and my russian orloffs. Both lay an off-white egg however and don't really want more laying such a boring color. But they might be pretty chickens.
So far the two males get along really well, and I do have a separate pen, but both of these chickens fly really well. I have clipped the wings of my EE hens and they still can fly almost as well, but they can't get away from the STUPID STRAY DOG that wants to have my chickens for dinner, so I have had to leave their wings intact because of HIM.
So it would be better for me to decide whom to keep, I think. If not all the eggs are fertile that is okay. I did have a third roo but he disappeared day before yesterday. I was hoping he would show up this morning but he didn't. I think the dog got him.
He was very shy and hesitant, he probably hesitated too long to run from the dog.
