Here's my set up...minus hanging food...its now in the run..

Thinking poop hammock and then directly under the roosts I have....unless someone else can see another solution.

I thought abt poop boards but I really haven't figured out how to do that as I think the bottom roost is 3.5 ft from wall...

Plus both roosts have braces now...

My 13wo BR cockerel won't roost unless I put him up there...everyone else manages on their own...

Could you somehow brace a poop board directly underneath each roost so it's close enough to the roost bar that they can't roost on it? I also really like the feed bags on the wall! Why did you put them up?

I've thought abt trying to add a slide in poop board by attaching 2x4s directly above and below each other ...on either side ...and sliding in a piece of plywood or something....🤔🤔

The feed bags went up for the thought of draft protection, but I'll not be replacing them..as I don't feel they are needed...so when they get worn ill just pull them down...

We use a ladder roost. It is on a hinge, so we can raise it up, out of the way, to clean. The lowest roost is about 16-18” off the floor, the highest (which is actually fixed) sits just below the upper ventilation opening. I’ll look for pics.

Our ladder roost. We have since turned to boards narrow side up bc the flat boards caused a lot of problems with breast blisters on the keel bones of the larger birds (black Jersey Giants) as their keel bones rested and rubbed on the boards creating the problem. After this pic was taken we added a fixed upper roost attached to the studs.

The hinge is at the two upper corners, using a bolt and washers.

The bottom is supported by two short blocks attached to the coop studs.

There is an eye hook at the center of the lowest board (the only board we kept turned wide side up) so the we can use a hook on a rope through a small pulley to raise it up and secure it while we clean. This coop is a walk in coop.

Something like this may work....thank you

I use a cheap smooth plastic floor runner piece under my roosts. Light and easy to slide in and out and super easy to clean and disinfect. I pull it out in the morning, clean it and then put it back before bedtime so it doesn't collect moisture underneath it in the coop.

How big is the coop, in feet by feet?
How many birds?
Does the 10 nest bank come apart in 2 levels?
Are they roll out nests?
What's behind all those bags and how are they attached to the wall?

I'd do some major rearranging.
Everything is up kinda high.
I'd drop the nests to the floor and lower the roosts to about 12" above them.

Coop is 10x10
There are 34 birds (12wks old and all roost on the top bar...aside from my cockerel)
The nest boxes don't come apart...
They were a gift, I redid them...they are roll away nests....but don't sit outside the coop. (And believe me...they've found those and can get in them)
Nothing is behind the feed bags...
As stated prior...I added them..but they will be coming down.

Everything is working as is currently aside from my cockerel not roosting...

Was looking to add a lower roost for him ...

I agree...it may need rearranged...I am not sure how to go abt those nest boxes though ....

Side note...glad you commented...you tend to have some good advice...
