I have a pre-existing area where I hope to put my future pet ducks. It is surrounded by an 11' trellis fence, but has no roof and does not go deep into the ground. I would hate for a raccoon to get to them! How do I go about "predator-proofing" the area and keeping the ducks safe??

It all depends on what types of predators you have in your area.We have a lot here in my area but our biggest threat is hawks and eagles.I personally put chicken wire all across the top of my run so daytime dive-bomb attacks are futile

As for night time or dusk predators I have them locked in their duck hut by dark.If you could show a pic of your set-up it would help people to see where it falls short for what your predators would most likely be..

I realize it needs quite a bit of cleaning up, so don't worry!

I live in a very small, suburban town in the California bay area. My main concern is raccoons and hawks, as I had one snatch a bunny a few years ago.
