I am about to pick up a dozen button quail eggs! I am so excited! I had a few questions:
~What temp. is best to incubate them at?
~Should the humidity level be any different than for chicken eggs?
~My incubator has an auto turner, but it's made for chicken's eggs. Will too great a turning angle hurt them? Should I just hand turn?
~Anything else different than incubating chicken eggs?
Thanks guys, can't wait for bumble-bee sized fuzz balls :love

Temp should be at 37.5°C (99.5°F). People have different opinions on humidity, so I'll let them fight it out. What type of incubator do you have? I have a Janoel 12, which also has an auto turner, but it rolls the eggs instead of turning them on an angle. As far as I know any incubator would be fine, but I'm not entirely sure.

I don't have a whole lot of experience with incubating, because my quail hens hatch their own chicks, but I'm sure someone else can give you all the help you need.

Good luck with your little cuties!

I had a very low hatch rate on my first batch, but I treated them like coturnix eggs and had the humidity around 30%. I have a second batch in the incubator now and they seem to be developing better at 50-60% humidity. Temperature between 99.5-100 farenheit.
