Help me. Thermometer question. :/

If the thermometer is on top of the eggs in a forced air incubator, what should the temp be? I have it at 99.5, but I think my hatch is late.....

X2... Mine always reads 99.5 and my last hatch (today) was a day early so it is 1/2 degree low.
