Tragedy has hit! My daughter didn't close the door to the hatching room...and the cat went in and jumped on top of the bator and knocked it off....lot of eggs are cracked...the ones due Fri have blood coming out....my humidity is way hi cause everything is wet....a big mess! She feels awful...and I am devastated as now the fun is gone and fear all is lost! I'd cry right now, but I have to drive the bus...so it will have to wait!

Please is there anyway I can help my chicks that have not hatched but bleeding the eggs r cracked??

I'm so sorry! I feel like I have to help you out some how.

I'm afraid you can't do anything about the cracked eggs. Unless someone has a better idea, you'll have to leave them alone. Is there any that survived?

I had a duck egg that cracked on me. I actually put some neosporin very lightly on the cracked area (to keep moist and infection free) and put a bandaide on it to hold it together. I knew it would need help getting out, so when it was peeping and trying to pip, we carefully removed the bandaids (there were 2) and let him do his thing. He hatched and is running around fine. unfortunately, I think the ones that are bleeding, unless you see movement, are probably not going to make it. But If you're like me, I have to give everything a chance, I wouldn't toss 'em until I know they're gone. Good luck, please let me know if any make it.

I can't just give up I will tape the babies that I think will make it and put the others aside to die peacefully. Thank you all for the support and the information. Will let u know the out come!

I agree! Try the best that you can to save them.

I hope for the best for you and your babies!
