I have a broody hen. She's been on the same nest for a week. Today I went out to get eggs and she is sitting in a different nest box...
What do I do now?
I'm so confused lol the eggs she was laying on aren't any good anymore right? Is she going to keep jumping nests and wasting eggs? What do I do now? This is my first broody and I'm not sure what to do with it now.

If the eggs she's been laying on isn't stone cold, you can slip them under her again. But if she's confused like that, she'll probably be jumping boxes again in some days. If you really want her to be broody and hatch chicks, the best thing is probably to move her into her own space. Doesn't need to be big, just a small box with her nest, with a bit of netted outside for food and water.

OK I may try to put them in with her. I am in indiana and it's been 90's (degrees F) so they are still pretty warm.

I have a young broody Ameraucana. This Friday Will be 21 days. I started her out with 5 eggs under her, but the other hens have be pushing her out of her nest to lay their eggs their too. So over the course of time, out of 5 eggs she's only got 2 left not broken. The last egg that got broken 3 days ago had a not fully developed baby chick inside it. If these last 2 eggs don't make it to hatch, will she stay Broody long enough for me to stick more eggs under her and separate her from the other chickens so she can try another hatch?

Sometimes when a broody gets off the nest to eat, drink and do her business, another hen will get in the nest to lay an egg. When broody comes back, she's confused and goes into another nest. I'd definitely put her back in with her eggs. I've found them cold and put them back under the broody without problems.
