Help me understand this sound

Hello all,
My newly adopted one year old is the first to go in the coop and roost for the evening. As soon as she settles in she makes this “growling” sound. The others slowly make their way in long after her, while she continues to make this quiet growl. She tends to sleep by herself. Is she unhappy? Are my other chickens afraid to sleep in the same coop with her because of the growl? Sometimes she makes the same growling noise at random times during the day.

It sounds like purring to me. I’ve always enjoyed hearing my chickens “sing”.
