Help! My 2yr old blue Orpington has a sore leg. She’s been a bit “off” the last few days but has been eating/drinking and walking fine and yesterday I saw my “bossy boots” Lexie jump on her and now she can’t beat weight on her right leg. I picked her up and had a look. I moved it up and down and she wasn’t squawking in pain but it seems sort of like she has too much movement from her knee joint down. I’d describe it as “floppy” compared to her other leg. Is it possible that she has injured her tendon??
😢

I agree that she may need to be prevented from too much activity or roosting inside a dog crate with food and water, but keep it inside with her flock for company. She may have suffered a sprain or tendon issue. Take it day by day to see if she gets better. Is bet care an option?

She is inside the run in a fenced off area with a cat cage (that was all I had on hand) that she slept in overnight. I put some arnica spray in her water yesterday and by evening she seemed a bit better. I have just arriving bed home from work and she was still in the cage and when I got her out her toes were curled... 🤷‍♀️
