My beautiful golden laced Wyandotte “Pickle” is approximately 31 weeks old and hasn’t laid an egg yet!! I say approximately because the woman who sold me the pullets said they were 'about’ 14 weeks old when I got them. I have 2 RIR that I purchase with Pickle and they barely started laying eggs in the last month. She goes into the coop when the other girls go in to lay their egg and she just watches.
I have been trying to remain calm and patient but, 31 WEEKS OLD? IS SOMETHING WRONG?!

Well some chickens can lay at about 4 months and some even at 10 months. Just wait a bit longer and if there is still nothing over 9-10 months, just tell us.

My wellie didn't drop her first egg until about 31 weeks and then was extremely sporadic (like 1-2 eggs per week) for the next month thereafter. It happens, and it's normal. Be patient and don't worry about it, if her age is just a guess then she may only just be getting ready or could still be a few weeks away. Some chickens simply lay late, for no apparent reason. Some, due to abnormalities, never lay at all.
