I put put some lawn fertilizer on the certain spots on my lawn yesterday. I let out my chickens today (my chickens are about 6 months old) and totally didn’t think about that they would eat the fertilizer until I put the chickens in for the night. It didn’t look like they ate very much but are they going to die? Or get sick? I gave them a treat hoping it would help and they did eat a lot grass that didn’t have the fertilizer on it plus I gave them some oregano too! Please help!

Was it granular fertilizer, pellets, liquid? I doubt that they ate enough to bother them. They can actually take something in their beak then put it down if it doesn't seem like food. I honestly don't know what you could do at this point, anyway. Maybe someone else who has some ideas will chime in. You might want to keep the chickens off the fertilized areas now, until you get a good rain.
