My 11 week old chickens ate rhubarb leaves today. I'm freaking out because I know they're toxic to them. I gave them a some molasses and water mixture to hopefully flush it out of their system. Are they going to be okay????? Scared chick mama right now.

Calm down... They are going to be just fine.

I would suggest not feeding them anything except their chick feed for a while.
Phew, okay, that makes me feel better and I can stop freaking now. They're free roaming (hence how they got the rhubarb leaves). So stop them from doing that now and just keep them in their coop so they eat just their feed. How long do you suggest we do that for?

I meant don't offer them any more.

I would not lock them up I just wouldn't offer them anything to eat besides their feed.

They will eventually learn to stay away from stuff that could make them sick.

Definitely not offering them anymore. We made sure and put better fencing around the rhubarb so they cant get to it and we put fencing around some other things so they cant get to that either. So they just have their feed.

Glad to hear that they will eventually stay away from things that could make them sick. Thank you for all your help and advice!
