Help my duck is acting off!!!!!!!!!

She is going into hormonal age, mine make that transition around 8-9 months old when mating starts. If you didn't have drakes she would probably still be wanting your attention but since there are Drake's around she is focusing on them. I have a Muscovy female who has taken up with my Runners and Buffs and has chosen one of the Runner drakes as her beau. She doesn't sleep with the Muscovy any longer but sleeps in the Runner/ Buff house. She hatched these ducks in 2016 and decided to change nationality after that lol
Thank you! I just hope she will let me hang out with her again after all her hormones are done kicking in!

Good morning!! I have a update!!!

Yesterday I noticed Favor was missing and I couldn’t find her anywhere, I continued to look for her for 5-ish minutes, but had to hurry because I was going and milk our neighbors cow and was scared she flew away (I definitely couldn’t imagine her doing that because she LOVED her home). Well, I remember a few weeks ago her and Kevin (the wood duck) were hanging out by our porch steps and Favor started digging, so I ran to the steps and looked under them and to my surprise she was sitting on 4 eggs!!! I was so happy she didn’t fly away and I was extremely happy to see my sweet girl wanting to be a mama!!!

This would definitely explain her sudden interest in my drakes and of course her acting off! I’ve only had one experience with a Muscovy hatching, so I’m looking forward to a second experience!! Kevin and Favor still hang out, but I am noticing Kevin is getting depressed when Favor is gone, is this normal?? I have had drakes stay with their hen when she goes broody and even sleep by the nest, but he is pretty depressed and the only thing that can cheer him up is Favor.
