Help: My favorite hen is breathing heavy and is listless.

I checked her crop, it is empty. I checked her vent and there does not seem to be an egg impacted. I felt all around the vent area. She is approx 3 yrs old. No injuries and up toll today has been active and laying regularly. I went to put them up this evening and she was alone far away in the range area laying nest to a tree. I went to her and stood her up and she did not walk just stood for a minute and then layed back down. I carried her to the coop and she seemed to be sighing on the walk. She stood in front of her water for a few min but did not drink. She just closed her eyes. I have her in a nest close to the ground and inside a seperate box. I have no clue what is going on. Everyone else is as normal.

Sorry not sure what's going on- tell me what happens also my Favourite hen did the same thing she gasped for breath and seem a lot more tired always laying down unfortunately she passed away a few days later

this happened to one of my neighbors chickens. i put her under the coop ladder, none of the other chicken go under there so i figured it would be safer there. about 7 hours later, it walked away and lay an egg and is now perfectly fine!!! just care for her as normal and hope for the best!!! good luck:0
