Holy socks, it's never been so warm in Romania during darn JANUARY.. its actually tank top weather, almost 20 degrees Celsius.
Now my beloved quince and pear trees are beginning to bloom, which may compromise this years fruit in case of a sudden temperature drop that will most likely happen 😬
I have no idea how to deal with this since its never been so warm before, i am doomed 😵

I don't know if this method is effective on blooms, but when there was a frost in Florida when the fruit wasn't ripe yet, farmers sprayed the fruit with water to create a layer of ice around the fruit for protection.

It is effective. They also use smudge pots that burn kerosene and slow turning fans to spread the heat through the orchards.

I grow blueberries and even with late freezes they make fruit. Same with the peach orchards here. Some will be lost but most make it through.
